If your skin often feels rough and dry, consider if these factors may be the cause:
- Taking long, hot baths or showers - Too much hot water can remove the natural oils that protect your skin. Your bath water should be cool or lukewarm, and try switching to soap-free cleansers that don't strip the skin of its' protective oils.
- Too much air-conditioning - Air conditioning is an important part of keeping your cool in hot, humid climes, but can be very harsh and drying on the skin. Try a misting spray to keep your skin moistened at regular intervals, and if you sleep in an air-conditioned room, be sure to apply a good moisturizer before bedtime.
- Choosing the wrong beverage - Many drinks like coffee, alcohol and caffeinated soft-drinks are diuretics, so they cause the body to flush out essential fluids from the body. Cut down on the caffeine, and try health-boosting smoothies, green tea or plain water - your skin will thank you!
- Insufficient physical activity - Some people think exercise can be detrimental for the skin, since being hot and sweaty can be irritating and cause itchiness. In actual fact, sweating helps the skin to breathe better, bringing emollient oils to the surface, and flushing out toxins from the pores. So long as you practice proper hygiene, and wash your face to prevent bacterial build-up, regular exercise actually helps to keep the skin healthy and glowing from within.
- The natural aging process - As the skin ages, it loses its moisture-trapping hyaluronic acid and collagen, and over time, this contributes to the deterioration of both the surface appearance, and internal fullness. Oil-producing glands also deteriorate with age, so you lose the protective emollients of youthful skin. Choosing age-appropriate skin products and treatments can help to prevent or reduce damage due to dryness.

I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
